Description: Due to the fact that imidazothiazines exhibit a wide range of biological activity, the idea arose to synthesize compounds based on them. The results show that imidazo[2,1-b]thiazine derivatives have a sufficient level of biological activity and, moreover, they are all non-toxic.
The work is devoted to the synthesis of imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]thiazine derivatives as possible anti-inflammatory agents. In this research, we wanted to synthesize new functionalized derivatives of imidazo[2,1-b]thiazine, confirm the composition and structure of the obtained compounds, predict acute toxicity, determinate their anti-inflammatory activity. The subject of our research is nucleophilic substitution reactions as a method of synthesis of imidazo[2,1-b]thiazine derivatives and anti-inflammatory activity. Anti-inflammatory activity was studied in vivo using swelling of the hind paw of white rats (carrageenan test). The results of studies on anti-inflammatory effects show that imidazo[2,1-b]thiazine derivatives have a sufficient level of biological activity and are non-toxic. Compounds with satisfactory drug-like and pharmacological properties were identified as promising targets for further structure optimization and in-depth studies. And there is a probability that from new functionalized imidazo[2,1-b][1,3]thiazine derivatives pharmacists can create drugs much more effective than their predecessors.
