Development of Autonomously Controlled Wings for Reusable Solid-Fuel Model Rocket

Description: In the previous year, as a part of the 2022 Cansat rocket Thailand competition, we had developed a rocket which carry an air quality research payload. The launch was successful, though unfortunately, The rocket including valuable research payload and It’s data was lost. Therefore, we aim to create a system which would let us reuse our solid-fuel model rocket utilizing autonomously guided wings. Said system will unlock the capability to return to base of our rocket for easier recovery. Row, Pitch and Yaw control will be achieved using controllable fin. Retractable wings in the middle of the rocket create lift which make It glide along the pre-calculated path. In order to avoid tangling of the Main parachute which will be deployed just before touch-down, We will orient the craft so that the head of the rocket is always pointing upward. The expected outcome is that we could make the rocket touchdown within the 100 meters radius of the launchpad.
