EGG SHELLED NEEM CANDLES

Description: The purpose of recycling and reusing is to help the environment to reduce pollution and reduce waste products in landfill. By recycling and reusing, people can greatly contribute to the earth’s overall health and keep the air, water and land clean.

The present article is an attempt to exhibit the possible application of eggshell in Egg-Shelled Neem Candles.Egg shells consist of a hard outer shell, and a soft inner white skin. The shell has thin outer most coating called the bloom or cuticle that helps keep out bacteria and dust. Egg shells is made almost entirely of calcium carbonate crystals. Eggs are widely used in food industry. Egg shells is a solid waste, with production of several tons per day. Egg shells is mostly sent to the landfill with a high management cost. It is economical to transform the egg shells waste to create new values from these waste materials. As a way to reduce the amount of waste, egg shells are reused to create Egg-Shelled Neem Candles. Kitchen towel rollers are reused as candle holders. Neem is added to create herbal aromatherapy candles. Egg-Shelled Neem Candles release a small but continuous stream of vaporized Neem raw oil into the air as they burn. The vaporized Neem raw oil gives out sulphurous smell. But, the vapour has the ingredients that make Neem therapy so effective. Neem vapour also acts as insect repellents.
