EMERGENCY RANGER FRIENDLY SYSTEM

Description: The rise in the late arrivals of emergency services initiates the hike up in number of deaths or loss of properties. At the same time, the late arrivals of emergency services (as ambulance, firefighting services and police) is driven by various external factors, especially the time taken for vehicles at traffic light to ‘make way’ for the emergency services to pass across during an emergency.

There has never been a greater issue than the failure of the emergency services that ‘should’ have protected its citizens in need but factor as traffic light colour curbs delays the movement of these emergency services. The Independent Online reported on 19th January 2018 about 40 people are thought to have died or been seriously injured as a result of lengthy delays at one ambulance trust, while, labour Member of Parliament for Norwich South, Clive Lewis told the house of commons that there had been 20 deaths because of ambulance delays over Christmas. A patient reportedly freezing to death in Lowestoft,UK on 27th December following a 16 hour wait for an ambulance and one case in Norwhich where a patient died after a cardiac arrest, following a seven hour wait. Furthermore, an Essex patient who developed pressure sores while waited nearly 13 hours for an ambulance responder following a fall. ERFS (Emergency Ranger Friendly System) proposes a universal solution for these issues whereby it allows the emergency vehicles to reach the spot at shortest time to avoid deaths, permanent damages or loss of properties. ERFS (Emergency Ranger Friendly System) to enhance the accessibility of emergency services at the shortest time without any delays at the traffic lights. ERFS is built with an Ardiuno-Uno Bluetooth module that connects both the driver of the emergency vehicle and the traffic light where the emergency service has the control to trigger the button to shift the colour of the traffic lights from red to green which also alert other drivers on the road to make way for the emergency services without any hustle. The increasing facts and statistics about the late arrival of emergency services to the spot caused by the colour change of traffic light require an effective solution. In this case, Emergency Ranger Friendly System (ERFS) is the solution to smoothen the movement of emergency vehicles such as ambulance, fire engine and police force and enable them to arrive at their destination as quickly as possible.
