Description: Our Smart Home for Humid Weather automatically protects your home from Macau's challenging climate. It uses sensors to detect rain and humidity, closing windows, running dehumidifiers, and even spotting and fighting mold with AI. Keep your home dry, safe, and worry-free, even when you're not there!
Living in Macau, we all know the challenges posed by its humid weather, unexpected heavy rains, and typhoons. Forgetting to close a window can quickly lead to damaged furniture, soaked floors, or even persistent mold problems on walls. What if your home could intelligently protect itself, even when you're away? Our "Smart Home for Humid Weather" project offers a truly innovative solution to these common frustrations. This system is designed to act as your home's vigilant guardian, continuously monitoring its environment and responding proactively. At its core, the system integrates advanced sensors and AI technology. On the balcony, a rain sensor instantly detects precipitation, while an IoT module gathers real-time weather data like humidity and wind speed, displayed clearly on an I2C screen. Crucially, if rain is detected and no one is on the balcony (thanks to a human infrared thermal sensor), the automatic windows will smoothly close themselves, preventing any water ingress and protecting your belongings – or even laundry – from getting wet. This smart safety feature ensures peace of mind. Inside, indoor sensors constantly monitor temperature and humidity. If the air becomes too damp, our exhaust fan automatically activates, drawing out excess moisture to keep your living space comfortable and prevent that sticky feeling. But our system goes a step further: a specialized HUSKYLENS AI camera monitors your walls. It's trained to identify even the earliest signs of mold growth. Upon detection, an alert light will activate to notify you, and a special UV light will turn on to inhibit and eliminate the mold, helping to keep your home healthy and clean. This intelligent integration of weather monitoring, safety mechanisms, and environmental control means your home can autonomously adapt to changing conditions. It’s about enhancing convenience, reducing manual intervention, and providing comprehensive protection against the challenges of humid climates, ensuring a safer and more comfortable living environment for everyone.
