The New Lifting Bridge

Description: The invention is to create a lifting bridge with object recognition that can be used in infrastructure construction projects. When a vessel approaches the bridge, the bridge can send a signal to the backend of the system via camera image recognition to temporarily stop traffic on the bridge and raise the bridge so that the vessel can leave quickly, and increase the vessel traffic flow. When the vessel leaves the bridge, the bridge immediately lowered to allow the vehicles to continue driving At the same time, this invention can add to the development of Macau as a smart city and enhance tourism. Our innovations of the invention are 1. Object recognition: judging the safe distance between the vessel and the bridge in order to achieve the appropriate lift time and feedback to the land-based traffic signal. 2. Auto-sensing: when a vessel reaches a suitable safe distance from the bridge, the red lights at both ends of the bridge will be illuminated, land traffic will be temporarily stopped and the bridge will then be lifted immediately to allow the vessel to pass, and vice versa. 3. Intelligent: reduce manual handling, labour costs and time costs.
