MRS - Microbiological Rocket Sonde

Description: The MRS design is environmentally friendly and is based on a carrier rocket with components made of composite materials, wood and FDM printing technology. The propulsion system is a commercial hybrid engine and the recovery system is a double parachute. The rocket is equipped with an airborne microbial sampling system.

The project involves the creation of an advanced, but at the same time cheaper to produce and operate, measurement and research platform, based on a launch vehicle and a rocket probe. A CANSAT format probe launched in a rocket to an altitude of approximately 2 km. The rocket is powered by ecological hybrid fuel, and during free fall, it measures the concentration of various gases, as well as temperature, humidity and pressure with on-board sensors, and collects samples of the microbiological composition of the atmosphere at several altitudes. The aim of the project is to create a map of atmospheric pollution on a publicly available website, which will show at what height the most suspended particles and gases are found. The research results and conclusions will allow the creation of educational materials that will help prevent the harmful effects of microorganisms and allergens on the human body.
